1. Hold the object to be measured between the jaws

A person touching the ruler to find and read the inch Braille markings

2. Read the closest inch marking from the ruler

A person touching the sliding jaw to read the fraction part displayed in Braille

3. Read the fraction from the Mechanical Braille Display
